This glossary is for acquiring technical vocabulary used in the world of design and the arts. I made it with the aim of recognizing different terms in both Spanish and English. I did it for people with a low level of understanding of English and technical vocabulary. I did this glossary as I investigated the theoretical framework of a project. I extracted the unfamiliar words and investigated their definition individually.
Abstract / Summary
Professional ethics and leadership
An abstract is a brief summary of a research article, thesis, review, conference proceeding, or any in-depth analysis of a particular subject and is often used to help the reader quickly ascertain the paper's purpose.

es: Un resumen es un breve resumen de un artículo de investigación, tesis, revisión, actas de congresos o cualquier análisis en profundidad de un tema en particular y, a menudo, se utiliza para ayudar al lector a determinar rápidamente el propósito del artículo.

A buyer persona is a research-based profile that depicts a target customer. Buyer personas describe who your ideal customers are, what their days are like, the challenges they face and how they make decisions.

Grids offer clarity and accessibility as they present content more easily and establish clear distinctions between each type of information.

It is the space between one column of text and another. It is usually 0.5. in normal columns. It all depends on the objective of the communication.

Interaction Design is the branch of IT that studies, plans and points of interactivity in digital systems and physical applications. Also known as Interaction Design or IxD Design, it aims to optimize the relationship between the user and the product.

An interface is a programming structure/syntax that allows the computer to enforce certain properties on an object (class).

They help the reader to move through the document. Markers, which indicate material location, include page numbers, repeating headers, footers, and icons.

Typography appearance consists of the good implementation of the gray contrasts in the different columns or texts on a page, seeking attention in this way so that they regulate their visual weight, generate interest in the reader, and persuade them to follow a certain order according to importance of texts and the intention of their content.

The effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction with which specified users achieve specified goals in particular environments.
Example: Airbnb is an example of a website with usability because when you enter the page it is perfectly clear to you what they do and what you can get on it. Once you start browsing the web, you realize how easy it is to find what you are looking for, with perfectly ordered results, possibilities to filter by what you want. In addition, they have both a responsive design and a specific mobile app.
es: Usabilidad: la eficacia, eficiencia y satisfacción con la que determinados usuarios alcanzan objetivos específicos en entornos particulares.
User experience

User experience: a person’s perceptions and responses that result from the use or anticipated use of a product, system or service.
Example: Skype is an old acquaintance in the communications universe, but its renovations were responsible for putting the application on the list of the “TOP 5” of best experiences with UX Design of 2017.
es: Experiencia del usuario: las percepciones y respuestas de una persona que resultan del uso o uso anticipado de un producto, sistema o servicio.

User scenarios are stories which designers create to show how users might act to achieve a goal in a system or environment. Designers make scenarios to understand users’ motivations, needs, barriers and more in the context of how they would use a design, and to help ideate, iterate and usability-test optimal solutions.
